Committee Information

The Senate Finance & Appropriations Committee (SFAC) considers the budget of the Commonwealth, including all taxation and matters concerning the expenditure of funds of the Commonwealth, general and special revenues of the Commonwealth, bills, resolutions, and petitions for appropriations, and claims. PUBLIC HEARINGS NOTICE 
GOVERNOR’S PROPOSED 2026-2028 BIENNIAL STATE BUDGET
Wednesday, January 7, 2026 - Virtual hearings will begin at 10:00 a.m.

 All public hearings will be held virtually.
There will be four separate virtual hearings with legislators from each region participating as follows:
Northern Virginia; Western Virginia; Hampton Roads; Central Virginia (Richmond)

Public registration to speak at one of the public hearings will occur on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
